Andy Barham felt like his life suddenly
stopped when he discovered a lump on his testicle. There
was a point when he did not know whether he would live
to spend another Christmas with his kids. When it became
clear that he would, he decided to say "balls to
cancer" through a personal challenge that would wear
out at least one pair of trainers. He has already raced
in Wales and England: the Cardiff half marathon in October
last year and the Bath half marathon in March this year.
Now he is gearing up for the big one in Scotland: the
Edinburgh full marathon on May 27 2007.
Andy believes that early detection is vital
and wants to support us in our quest to educate men. "Us
guys need to be aware", he says. "Have a feel,
it could just save your life". Andy hopes to raise
£1000 for our charity.
